SMJ Beverages Suriname N.V. is part of SM Jaleel & Co Ltd, with its main offices located in Trinidad who has been servicing more than 65 countries worldwide for 90+ years with its well-known range of non-alcoholic beverages. We are looking to recruit a motivated member to join our dynamic organization.
Job Summary: The Procurement Clerk is responsible all purchasing orders from different departments at the company and make those purchases from suppliers/vendors.
A) Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares order for SMJ P&M in EPICOR
- Monitors the re-order report.
- Prepares the container log.
- Daily Enter the items by containers in QuickBooks.
- Prepare the calculation/voucher for Broker payments.
- Prepare the calculation/voucher for payments relating to Inventory received.
- Upload payments to the bank Review EPICOR data on orders not yet delivered.
- Take action as directed by GM/Sales Manager Source quotations for Local Purchases.
- Prepare GL journals as required Data enter approved journals Balances Sheet Recon: Broker CA.
- Balances Sheet Recon: ACT.
- Prepare GIT report at month end Prepare monthly GL journals as required.
- And any other duties as so required and deemed necessary.
B) Qualifications and Experience:
- ACCA Certified (3rd year)/ BSc. Degree Accounting from a recognized Institution.
- Prefers minimum of 2 years’ experience in Financial Accounting or Auditing.
C) Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of Accounting Standards (IFRS).
- Knowledge of Accounting Software.
- Microsoft Office proficient.

E) Accountability:
- Ensures compliance to all Company, contractual, and governmental regulations in a manner that supports the expected operating goals of the plant.
- Enforces all Company policies and procedures.
- Ensures corrective and preventative actions and other requirements under the company’s SOP and QMS are effectively implemented in a timely manner and all relevant documentation is maintained.
- Ensure compliance to IFRSs and other accounting standards.
