Finance Controller
Functie-omschrijving
Het verzorgen en stroomlijnen van de financiële administratie en periodieke rapportages, projectadministratie, budgetteren en forecasten van liquiditeit, omzet, kosten, resultaten en investeringen. Eindverantwoordelijk voor de financiële administratie.
Het adviseren en ondersteunen van de Algemeen Directeur op financieel organisatorisch, fiscaal en juridisch gebied;
Treasury & Cash Management: effectief plannen, monitoren en managen van liquide middelen, inclusief debiteuren en crediteuren management (beheersing werkkapitaal). Contact onderhouden met financiële instellingen. Optimaliseren van rente- en bankkosten. Hedgen van valuta-posities. Risicobeheersing in de breedste zin des woords.
Functie eisen
- HBO+ (SPD) en/of doctoraal Bedrijfseconomie;
- Min. 3-5 jaar werkervaring in een leidinggevende functie in een internationale setting
- Kennis van een boekhoudpakket is een pre;
- Kennis van financierings, treasury en cash management
- Ervaring met interne en externe verslaglegging en opstellen van budgetten;
- Uitstekende beheersing van de Engelse taal (woord en geschrift);

Job description:
SMJ Beverages (Suriname) is a distributor of non-alcoholic beverages, is seeking to recruit a suitable qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of FINANCIAL CONTROLLER.
JOB SUMMARY
- Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
- Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
- Review and overall responsibility for the preparation of accurate monthly P&L and Balance Sheet
- Review of clients contracts and proposals
- Management of working capital
- Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Regular meeting with Board level executives
- Financial support and analysis to all parts of the business
- To identify training needs within the department and make suitable recommendation for action
- To maintain a fix assets register
- To assist in the development of the company’ Business Plan
- To identify and evaluate areas for improvement of profit with particular regard to cost reductions and methodology.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- A First Degree in Finance/Accounting or ACCA certification
- At least three (3) years working experience in a similar position
- Strong written reporting skills
- Highly numeric/strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
- Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to details and meeting deadlines
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards
- Strong knowledge of statutory/company regulations
